Prior to joining Efficio in 2001, I worked in M&A for a global investment bank (Citigroup), as a consultant for a top-tier management consultancy (A.T. Kearney), and as an analyst for a leading actuarial consultancy (Towers Watson).

After growing up in Hong Kong, I graduated from Oxford University with an MEng, and later obtained an MBA from INSEAD. I joined Efficio as its first employee as it presented an opportunity to work with the founders to convert a start-up into an established organization through delivery excellence. I wanted to not only grow with client work but also with the business.

My role

As a Principal I am responsible for overseeing the delivery of client engagements, converting business development opportunities, and continuing to strengthen the business via HR, marketing, and product development activities. I have worked on a variety of projects in several industries and have been fortunate to operate from interesting locations. Examples include developing an electronic ordering system for a logistics company in Belgium, leading the commercial element of an IS transformation with a utilities company in the US and the UK, running a skills development initiative in Asia for a Private Equity- owned chemicals company, delivering a training programme to an insurer across Scandinavia, designing an SRM blueprint for a UK retailer, and building a technology layer for Efficio to augment its consulting offering.

What I enjoy about Efficio

I have remained loyal to the company because it is like being part of a second family, which means you are supported through both good and challenging times, and your efforts have a great deal of impact both internally and externally. I enjoy the agility with which the company can make decisions – concepts often become reality with minimal red tape, benefiting client work, as well as development activity. Moreover, I enjoy working in a dynamic atmosphere, fuelled by highly capable individuals from multiple backgrounds and significant investment to ensure regular and fully attended off-sites. Overall, I am proud to have played a role in Efficio.
