Jonathan Rutman is Head of Business Development for North America at Efficio, based in the Midwest. He works with large corporates and private equity firms to leverage procurement and supply chain as practical drivers of their most critical priorities, especially at key moments including transactions, performance pressure, leadership change, and periods of significant change.
He began his career in strategy consulting with Arthur Andersen and KPMG, based in Cleveland and Chicago, and spent significant time in both Asia and Europe early in his career. Over the past 25+ years, he has moved into senior commercial and advisory roles at Gartner, The Hackett Group, and Insight Sourcing Group (now part of Accenture), earning the trust of executives across procurement, finance, and supply chain.
Jonathan has led and supported a wide range of transformation efforts, including cost take-out programs, operating model design, and supply chain resilience. His work with private equity firms spans the full deal cycle, integrating procurement into the deal thesis and value creation plan, from due diligence through acquisition, 100-day planning, synergy identification, and post-acquisition execution. His focus is straightforward: help leadership teams set fact-based targets and stay accountable for delivering against them.
Jonathan is proud to have served on not-for-profit boards in significant leadership roles for over 20 years. He still enjoys two recent “pandemic hobbies”, road cycling and relearning the saxophone, and is currently training for his first century ride (100 miles). He has found real purpose through his board service, and time with his family is what he finds most rewarding.
