Simon Whatson, a principal consultant at global procurement consultancy Efficio, will be chairing the World Digital Procurement Summit in Barcelona from 13-14 June 2019.

This two-day summit is aimed at a global audience of senior-level executives and will provide a platform for key business stakeholders and technical experts from a range of different organisations such as Nokia, Vodafone and Schneider Electric, to explore the benefits of digital procurement technologies and best strategies to reinvent their own procurement organisations.

Topics will include eProcurement, smart utilisation of data analytics, robotic process automation, AI and machine learning in procurement to maximise business capabilities and enterprise growth.

Simon joined Efficio four years ago with considerable expertise in procurement consulting, sourcing and supply chain. He has led numerous large procurement transformation projects on an international scale, as well as the programme delivery for several managed services clients.

He was a key contributor to Efficio’s recent global study, “Procurement 2025: Is digital transformation driving more effective procurement?” and has contributed articles and been widely quoted on the topic in publications such as Spend Matters, Supply Management, Procurement Leaders and CPO Strategy.
