Driven by strained supply chains across the tiers, assessing and managing supplier risks gains even more importance as businesses adapt to the new normal, post-COVID. Supplier risk management differs for each business but the underlying framework is consistent and there are a number of input parameters which need to be fine-tuned to make it fit-for-purpose.

The parameters include:

  • Operating model decisions, such as, who in the organisation is accountable and what process/systems are used
  • Risk profiles (will vary by category)
  • Weighting of different risks (Financial, supply, reputational and HSE)

In this workshop, we will discuss:

  • Your organisational set-up (i.e. where in the organisation does the accountability/responsibility sit) and processes, incl. active risk management as part of supplier management and sourcing
  • Types of risks considered
  • Examples of wider industry risks and potential ways to manage them
