ptom workshop

Following on from the launch of Efficio’s ‘The Human Factor: Strategic procurement and the leaders of tomorrow’  report, we are pleased to launch the first of a series of interactive workshops focused on the future procurement target operating model.

This first, in a series of workshops, will focus on the topic: Procurement organisation – capacity, capability and flexibility.

Organisational needs for the setup of procurement teams are not what they used to be. External focus such as evolving technology and processes, changing customer expectations, stretched targets and evolving people aspirations are driving a new dynamic. This means that the current capacity, capability and flexibility set up of the procurement may not be the one that works in the future.

The above challenge manifests itself in a variety of ways in different organisations. There is either a struggle to have the right number of resources (capacity) or issues around the skills that are needed in their teams (capability) to drive the business outcomes (savings, effective operational delivery). Even when the resource set up is right for a point in time, organisations face the issue of needing to manage the peaks and troughs of activity and specialist expertise. The impact of this is seen in savings targets not being met, operational delivery performance and related SLAs suffering and the overall morale of the procurement workforce taking a beating.

The content of this workshop has been designed for senior procurement executives and will cover:

  • What the key pain points are for procurement teams?
  • What options exist to manage the capacity, capability and flexibility issues?
  • What the key success factors are?

The workshop will take place on the 5th March from 09:00am to 11:00am at our offices at Piccadilly Circus, London (breakfast will be served from 08.30am). We have limited spaces available and spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
