Pablo BorregoPrincipal
Having obtained my MSc in Industrial Engineering from the University Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, I spent three years in strategy and operations consulting at Deloitte in Spain.

I joined Efficio in 2007 looking for a more international experience. This has indeed materialised and during my time here I have had the privilege to work in the UK, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, and the USA.

Efficio culture

Efficio presents quite a unique working environment: it combines the benefits of a big name consultancy, recognised by its top international clients and high quality standards, with those of a smaller firm - having little or no hierarchy and offering a family-like environment. I have always received recognition for my efforts at Efficio, and feel I am directly contributing to shaping the company - something that is not always a given at the bigger firms. The thing I like the most is Efficio’s approach of working shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients as “one team”.

My role

As a Principal, I manage teams over several projects and I am also responsible for managing relationships with clients. Over the last few years, I have developed particular expertise in the utilities and infrastructure industries, which now defines me as a subject matter expert for future similar projects. Alongside project work, I am involved in business development activities such as preparing proposals, attending sales meetings and improving our sales collateral material. I have also been heavily involved in a number of firm building initiatives such as creating and delivering training for consultants, developing new methodologies and tools, and implementing a technology solution to automate our programme management. The great thing is that every day offers a new challenge and every project teaches you something new.

What Efficio offers

As well as the opportunity for development and career progression, Efficio offers a multicultural environment with intelligent, capable individuals, where everyone’s opinion is valued. The relaxed, non-hierarchical culture here means that you do not just gain colleagues but also friends. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to work for Efficio.
