Thor joined Efficio in 2011 and has since combined procurement, analytical and relationship skills to execute business strategy and deliver benefits from strategic sourcing, vendor management, and internal process improvements.

Thor has extensive experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and internal process improvements through working on a number of projects across the Nordics, United Kingdom, and Canada.

Career

Thor holds a Master of Science in International business and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration from NHH (the Norwegian School of Economics) in Bergen, Norway.

Thor is a Norwegian national, and speaks Norwegian and English.

• Claims cost optimisation – Canadian insurer: Developed and implemented a new total-cost claims sourcing approach, including establishing new performance benchmarks and best practise identifying market innovators and leading performers, internal process optimisation, and roll-out enhanced decision-making tools and processes for vendor management and operations
• Procurement and Commercial Services – Infrastructure company: Implemented new programme procurement approach and negotiated delivery of £300m multi-year infrastructure renewal portfolio
• Procurement transformation – Financial Services company: Delivered significant savings from strategic sourcing and demand management as part of a Private Equity turn-around
• Strategic sourcing and internal process optimisation – Nordic Retail conglomerate: Defined strategy and introduced new approach towards strategic sourcing of capital projects, and challenged current demand and developed new internal processes for use property services
