Prior to joining Efficio in January 2017, I worked for PA Consulting, heading up the Financial Services, Life Sciences and Manufacturing recruitment. Before working in the consulting industry, I worked for 7 years in Financial Services recruitment in companies such as Goldman Sachs, Standard Bank and BNYM. I hold a Masters in Human Resource Management with CIPD accreditation (completed 2009) and a Bachelors in Business Studies from the University of Sheffield (completed 2005).
I joined Efficio to implement a direct sourcing model that focused on reducing recruitment costs. Over the last 3 years, I have hired a team of dedicated recruitment specialists who support our headhunting efforts. We now work with agencies less and less and have built our own network of potential new joiners so that we are able to efficiently meet our growing business needs.
The recruitment process is managed by the recruitment function but has great support and buy in from the business who take their role very seriously. Our interviews and assessments have been designed internally in order to identify the right individuals for Efficio, whilst ensuring this is the most suitable company for a new joiner. Every new employee was previously interviewed by our CEO, Jens Pedersen, but as we have grown so much in the last few years, this is no longer feasible. However, Jens does still review the background of each new joiner, prior to us making an offer which demonstrates the importance placed on recruitment and in turn our people.
What I like about Efficio
Many firms claim this but Efficio is truly a great company due to the fantastic people who work here. I’ve never worked in such an international organisation before with colleagues from so diverse backgrounds which makes it very interesting and exciting. In the HR team alone, all 11 employees are from different countries! We all work very hard but we also work together to make the company better – and we have a lot of laughs along the way!
